Sauk City to Middeton - day 4

We biked approx. 31 miles today.

We ate a great breakfast before we headed out of Sauk City to bike to Middleon. We only had approx. 25 miles to bike today so we didn't leave Sauk City until almost 9:00AM. We ended up biking about 6 miles on highway 12 which was very busy and noisy but had a wide shoulder. The rest of the way we were able to bike on a beautiful paved bike trail that took us all the way into Middleton.

My sister, Sharon, was going to pick us up at Nate & Sarah's house and we stored our bike in Nate & Sarah's garage. On Friday morning Sharon will drop us off and then we will bike to the Marriott hotel and meet up with our biking friends.

After arriving in Middleton and getting cleaned up we met Amanda and Amber (from WTS) at Cheeseburger in Paradise for lunch and had a very nice visit. We then went to Sharon & Pat's home in Sun Prairie where we will spend the evening. Sharon made a wonderful supper and dessert and we had a very enjoyable evening! Thanks to Nate & Sarah for letting us store our bike and Pat & Sharon for there hospitality for the evening!

After thinking about our chain issue from yesterday and realizing this is our last chance for help from people we know I decided to call Ralf from the Hostel Shoppe and have him bring along new chains and a rear cassete when he comes down to the Cows Rally. I'm really looking forward to the rally this weekend. It's always so much fun and we get to see so many friends we have met through biking.

Total as of today 216 miles.
